I am a middle school librarian and I read this book because we are having the author, Steve Stratton, come to speak to our language arts classes. This book is the sequel to One October.
I truly enjoyed reading this book. If you love suspenseful, spooky, creepy, and a good versus evil struggle, this book is for you! I really like how the author has a nice balance in the book...just enough suspense (and gore) to keep you on the edge of your seat mixed with a "Trust in the Lord" christian theme intertwined throughout! Great for middle schoolers, especially since the book revolves around vampires! Pick up a copy today!

Enjoyed reading this book - even though I am not a part of the target audience, which is middle school age. Characters from previous book, One October, continue in this book and are more developed, which really make you like them even more. I love that I was able to read both books by this author and not have to worry about language or inappropriate situations.

Plainridge was fun, exciting, and scary. The story pulled me in right from the start, and it was easy for me to become attached to the characters. It kept me turning the pages. I also read Steve's first book, One October, which precedes Plainridge. I recommend picking them both up so you can get the full story behind this creepy Southern town.
