This is a very good book that deserves to be widely used. I bought it and like it very much. It is an excellent complement to other better known books on electric power systems. Some parts of the book demand a level of mathematical knowledge that most undergraduate engineers will probably not have. It is probaly best suited to graduate students and practising engineers that have, or (like myself)are learning, enough modern mathematics to take full advantage of it. Despite the desirability that the reader has significantly more mathematical knowledge than the average engineer a large fraction of the book is still very usable by all electrical engineers.
